Re: Skyrush Official Discussion Thread
I don't think this will be testing week Hersheycoaster14 because the lift cable is still not on-site or attached to the ride. I think it's going to be at least another week before we see this bad boy in action.
^Nice pic - glad to see the trains are starting to get assembled.

Great pics, HPCrazy. Love the colors of the trains. How many trains are there, two? Or 3, being one in the storage, and two running on the track?

They're not my pics, forgot to mention that they were provided by Kirk!
Also I think there are only two trains.

Hey, look! The cable's going in! It looks like the return cable's done (on the right side) and now they're working on the main "pulling" cable.

i don't believe that it was the second train being added, instead it was the other half of the first because only 4 rows were on the track before and 4 more were added today, making it a completed first train not a second

Wow! Seeing the Skyrush train on the track.... gives me chills. Testing can't be too far away, I'd think. I have off work Thursday and Friday; would love to hear thru the rumor mill (here?!) that testing is ON and trains are running. I'd drop everything and be on-site in 20 minutes, lol! Can't wait!

Oh, wanted to mention this: On Sunday while on Fahrenheit, we saw 10+ water dummies hanging out below the station. Was cool seeing them up-close from the train while waiting to disembark. It's water dummies that will go on Skyrush first, right? Then the more-advanced dummy with all the sensors? So maybe this group of water dummies will soon find their way from Fahrenheit over to The Hollow.
My son was wondering if we could volunteer as water dummies this week...

I also saw those when I was there on Saturday. Yeah, perhaps they're saving them for when they test Skyrush's trains.

Kathy was at the park today and sent the following out on twitter:

The train is still being constructed, but I love how the edge seats really hang over the side. The train is going to look great once constructed with themeing and can't wait.

Great shot of the lift showing how steep it truly is.

Tru that, so I'll patiently wait in my seat
Typically, most parks use the stairs only as a last resort. Having skied down slope as steep as Skyrush's lift, you need all those stairs to make the walk easier.

For those comparing this to a B&M Floorless, it looks like the outer seats here will stick an extra 8"-10" out beyond the track underneath. Oh, and with a floor under the middle seats.

The bigger difference to me is the lack of over-the-shoulder-restraints on the Intamin. We haven't seen anyone sitting in the seats yet, but it looks like there won't actually be anything over your shoulders or arms. It almost looks like Intamin had to offset the seats fore/aft and space them wider to allow for this new restraint design. Of course, only time will tell whether these seats are comfortable or whether they could ever be used on a coaster with inversions.

Pulling the trains thru at slow speeds is a lot better than sending them thru at full speed and it comming back with a dammaged or missing seat because it hit a tree that is too close

Great pics thanks for the update!!! Love seeing that gorgeous yellow track with the trees starting to fill in looks great!!! I'm also loving the looks of that partial Skyrush train on the track great preview.
Also shouldn't be much longer to see SDL new trains since they are getting the mag brakes on.

Glad to see the pull-through! From what I've seen from other Intamin's pull-throughs, they usually pull the train forward through the course, but it seems they're working backwards with Skyrush. When I first saw the pictures, I thought, "Oh, they're almost done!" only to realize they were only starting out.

Re: Skyrush Official Discussion Thread
It depends if it's storming or not. If it's just normal rain(no lightning) most rides will stay open. If it's a thunderstorm, they'll close nearly all the rides down until the storm is a safe distance away, and cleared by maintenance. It depends how fast the storm moves and any damage that may of happened(depending on storm intensity) It's really hard to say a time it takes, because every situation is different.
