Re: Manta Discussion Thread
I think it looks slow, but it will really please the younger crowd. they still need a major thrill there.
Oh, and the wheels are way too squeaky!

Re: Manta Discussion Thread
I'm going next month for the first time, which is awkward considering I lived in CA for 12 years
I hope it's a fun and great ride though...

I'll be going for opening day, also cause May 26 is my birthday, and SD is my home town.

Re: Manta Discussion Thread
I will!
Honestly, this ride probably won't be that amazing. People that look at this ride expecting Skyrush will be disappointed, but that's not the point of this coaster. But I think it looks fun and it's definitely what SWSD needs. Plus, I think it's awesome to finally see a new coaster come to my home park. I'll tell you guys how it rides! I bet it'll be smooth and fun, nothing less.

Re: Manta Discussion Thread
Of course if your expecting Skyrush you'll be disappointed lol but Imo Manta does looks like it strikes a nice balance between Family and thrill.
I may get a chance to try it out this summer since my sister usually takes her 2 kids every summer, I'll just be the fifth wheel this year
. I haven't been to this place in at least 20 years since I was a kid, I think I was like 10 it didn't have any coasters so I wasn't much interested, I been coaster crazy all my life
