Walt Disney World looking to expand monorail system

Screamscape has just reported that it's been brought up again that WDW may be considering on expanding the monrorail system to the other two parks and around property, cutting back on the bus system. More info on this latest development can be found here:

Monorail System News - (4/5/12) I’ve heard this rumor countless times before… but a good source claims that Walt Disney World may be taking another long hard look at expanding the resorts iconic Monorail system once again in order to cut back on their reliance on bus transportation and move towards a functional mass transit network that would service all of the theme parks and bigger attractions eventually. Stay tuned.

If this is true, it would be nice, The only problem is that the monorail will have to be shut down for a while which can be a no-no for park guests considering mostly everyone I see at WDW takes the Monorail System

I don't see how this would hinder a complete shut-down of the system. There could be times where parts of it may be temperarily closed but I'm sure they would work out the kinks to prevent such a thing from happening.
