The 2012 Park Season has officially started and All-American Thrills was on hand for the grand opening of Stinger at Dorney Park, as well as Knoebels for their opening weekend! Be sure to check out our Dorney Park Opening Day Photo T/R in the Trip Planning & Reports section!
Be sure to mark your calendars now and join us for our ALT "Rush the Hollow" meet-up as we help unveil the newest, tallest and fastest coaster in Hersheypark - Skyrush! Also get to meet the players of the viral marketing game and hang out with us for a fun-filled time at the park! More details to be released as they become available!

We have just released our event schedule for 2012 to include all our events listed currently through June, but will also continue to add more as time goes on. Take a look through our "Site Calander" section to see what we currently have to offer and be sure to make plans to join us throughout the 2012 coaster season!
SKYRUSH UPDATE: All-American Thrills was on hand for the first spin of the cable system and will also be covering the testing when it begins! Be sure to check it all out in the official Skyrush topic!

Good to see that the Twister is getting some retracking on their double helix. The lateral shaking was getting bad. I'm also suprised to see that the Phoenix's first drop is getting a major overhaul. Hope they keep in that little pop of air as you go down the drop. Can't wait to ride them on opening weekend!

GREAT update! I LOVE the pics! Everytime I see that Chance Wipeout, I keep thinking how much I'd love for Hershey to be blessed with one of those. One of the best flats I've ridden anywhere!

Downdraft is another great flat at Knoebels. They seem to be noted for their variety of flats, both old and new.

Hersheypark did have the 1st generation of the ride, called the Trabant. Last time I heard, it got sent down to Dutch Wonderland. The Wipeout is the 2nd generation, taking cues from the European Hully Gully versions (The Mack Schwabinchen that used to be at Cedar Point is one example). I do agree- the Wipeout at Knoebels is intense!!!

You're referring to the old Rodeo. While I do miss that ride, A Wipeout would really do wonders for Hershey. My friend told me how Rodeo was tame compared to it and I didn't believe him at first until I rode it. Boy was he right - lol! Very Happy
